Dr. Khawaja is a Fellowship trained Interventional Physiatrist. He completed his internship at Atlantic City Medical Center and residency at Nassau University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore (East York Program).
He treats painful conditions of spine: stenosis, herniated discs, pinched nerves, as well as shoulder, knee, sacroiliac and hip problems. As a part of his comprehensive treatment plan he performs minimally invasive procedures like epidurals in facet blocks, in addition to, offering physical therapy, joint injections, medication and modalities. He also performs nerve conduction studies and EMG to diagnose conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome and pinched nerves which can present as pain, tingling, numbness and weakness in limbs.
He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He is an active member of American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and International Spine Intervention Society.
